Celia Martín de León is Associate Professor of Translation at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. Her research interests include conceptual metaphors and implicit theories of translation, as well as the processes of translation and interpreting from an embodied and embedded perspective, with special emphasis on meaning construction and imagination. She is currently researching co-speech gestures performed by simultaneous interpreters, and has authored several articles and book contributions on all these topics.
