In April 2025, Daniela Schlager went on a three-week research stay in Finland, hosted by Tampere University, to reconnect with colleagues from both translation and interpreting studies and critical accounting research, exchange ideas and work on collaborative projects. She also had the opportunity to give two presentations and receive valuable feedback on ongoing research projects:
- “Constructing translation expertise: the role of calculative practices” (co-author: Jenni Laaksonen) at the interdisciplinary workshop of the Research Group on Sustainability and Critical Accounting, Tampere University (9.4.2025)
- “Dealing with economic uncertainty: Translator's individual and collective responses” at the KäTu Symposium on Translation and Interpreting Studies, University of Helsinki (12.4.2025)
Kiitos Suomi for this most inspiring and enjoyable experience!
