At the conference “Who’s Afraid of Translator Studies? The Human Translator in Focus”, taking place 12-13 May 2022 at the Trinity College Dublin, Daniela Schlager gave a talk entitled “Who is a translation ‚expert‘? The social construction of expertise in the workplace”. It focused on a person-centered perspective on translation expertise (or translatOR expertise, for that matter) that seems to be a promising approach to complement existing research on translation expertise and competence.
