On Monday 28 October, the Socotrans team hosted an international, interdisciplinary workshop at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria, that brought together participants from Austria, China and Finland to foster collaborative exchanges between translation studies, sociology and accounting.

The workshop, organized by Daniela Schlager, featured the following insightful presentations:

• Juho Suokas (University of Eastern Finland, translation studies) on research translatoriality
• Clara Holzinger and Anna-Katharina Draxl (University of Vienna, sociology) on translation and interpreting in data collection and analysis
• Jenni Laaksonen (Tampere University, business studies & translation studies) on translation research in accounting and accounting research in translation studies
• Regina Rogl (University of Vienna, translation studies) on translation and fake news
